Five short songs by Charles Ives, originally for voice and piano, have been transcribed for solo trombone and 4-part trombone quartet/choir by Dr. David Mathie. The songs are contrasting with a sense of humor typical of Ives, and give the soloist (or group of soloists) a chance to shine on great music not often heard.
